In the third quarter of 2024, the travel and local app market in Nigeria saw varied performance among the top five apps on the Android platform. Here's a closer look at the trends based on Sensor Tower data.

Wakanow: Flights, Hotels, Cars maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads peaking at 16.6K in mid-August. Its weekly active users fluctuated slightly, with a high of approximately 166.6K in the same period, suggesting robust engagement despite zero revenue generation.

Currency Converter Plus experienced modest revenue, with a steady $1 per week for most weeks except for a couple of zero weeks. Downloads started at 7.3K in early July, then dipped before climbing to 7.8K in early September. Active users showed a positive trend, rising from 21.4K to a peak of 25.7K by late September.

Find my Phone - Family Locator saw a gradual increase in revenue, reaching $228 by the end of September. Weekly downloads started strong at 7.3K in July but declined to 3.6K by September. Active users mirrored this trend, initially rising to 12.1K in July before dropping to 9.3K at the quarter's close.

Bella Pro showed a significant increase in revenue, from $1 in early July to $53 by the end of September. Downloads surged dramatically, reaching 11.2K in early September, while active users increased from 1.5K in July to 12.7K by the end of the quarter.

Qatar Airways had no revenue but maintained a stable download rate, peaking at 4.2K in early September. Active users showed a slight decline from 15.5K in early August to 12.9K by the end of September.
